After care for Eyebrows Micropigmentation

You will be given an after care kit as well as specific instructions on how to care for eyebrows the first few days after procedure.
Avoid washcloths and scratching or picking at the tattoo during the healing process (Healing time may vary).
Avoid hot tubs, steam rooms, public pools, long hot showers, sweaty exercise, or submerging the tattoo in water for the first 10 days.
Avoid direct sunlight or tanning beds for 2 weeks after receiving the tattoo.
Avoid putting makeup on the area for the first week.
Avoid facials, chemical peels, or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.
Immediately following your procedure, the tattooed area will appear to be much darker and bolder in color and more sharply defined. This can last up to a week after the treatment while the initial healing process takes place. The treated area may feel a bit like sunburn afterwards but there should be minimal discomfort
The complete healing process takes about 6 weeks, at which time the true color of the procedure is evident. During this process, your micropigmentation procedure will soften and lighten. Be patient, even if you think too much color has been lost, as your skin is still regenerating and naturally exfoliating. Wait at least 6 weeks to see the true color, as it seems to take on new strength, and it is only after 6 weeks that your touch-up/adjustment can be done.

After care for Lips Micropigmentation

Lips pre-procedure:
Two or three sessions may be required to achieve the desired results. It is not uncommon to lose up to 70% of the color after the first session.
-
If you have a history of cold sores (herpes simplex) and are scheduling a lip enhancement we advise you to use anti herpes medication which can be obtained over the counter from a chemist. Use it according to package instructions approximately 1 week prior and 1 week after your enhancement. This can help minimise an outbreak.
-
Oral medication for cold sores prescribed by your GP to be taken several days before your scheduled appointment is a much more effective way of preventing an outbreak. Permanent cosmetic enhancements do not cause cold sores, however if you carry the virus, it lays dormant in the nervous system and can be aroused by the infusion process.
Lips may appear to have too much color in the days following the procedure.

Post-procedure you will be given and after care pack and detailed instructions.

Day 1. Swelling, tender, heavy, thick lipstick look with reddish brick color. For the first few days, the color is darker than it will appear when healed.
Day 2. Slight swelling, reddish, tender, with a slight metallic taste.
Day 3. Less swelling, thicker texture, sore, hot feeling before exfoliation with an orange color.
Day 4. Exfoliation begins, very chapped lips. The color will become lighter as the epidermis sloughs off. It will appear that you have lost all of your color, however, when your lips have healed completely, the dermal layer will gradually become darker.
Day 5. Very chapped but almost finished with first chapping stage. Day 6. A soft, rich color begins to appear.
Days 7-13 Lip color disappears and the “frosty” 2nd chapping stage begins as a whitish gray haze on the lips.
Day 14. Color blooms from within more and more each day until day 21 (3 weeks post procedure).
Day 21. Healing complete. The color you see is the color that you have. Your lips will remain a bit dry for a month or two. Use a good lip balm and they will return to normal with full color.

After care for Scalp Micropigmentation

Short-Term Care
Immediately after procedure your scalp will need time to heal. Just like any other medical procedure, you need to take it easy by not interfering with your body’s recovery process. The scalp will form tiny scabs where the needle pierced the skin. Under no circumstances should you touch, pick at, or disturb your scalp while your body mends these small wounds.
-
You must wait three days before washing or touching the scalp after a treatment.
-
Prevent your body from sweating by resting during this time. Do not exercise, sit in the sun, or do any other activity that may cause you to sweat.
-
By the fourth day, you can use water to rinse your scalp. Do not use any shampoo or other soaps to clean the area.
-
If you are planning on having another treatment, begin moisturizing the scalp at this time.
-
After seven days, you can clean the treated area. We recommend washing the scalp with a gentle facial cleanser.
-
During the first 30 days, it is critical that you avoid exposure to UV rays, intense sweating, or any damage to the scalp while your micropigmentation sets.
Long-Term Care
It’s understandable to be concerned about your scalp micropigmentation aftercare, but you should try your best to enjoy the results, instead of constantly fretting about potential outcomes. For Long-Term Care, keep the following in mind:
-
Continue to avoid direct exposure to intense sunlight, and protect yourself from UV rays. This will help the treatment from “fading” and will give you better results for a longer period of time.
-
Do not use products that contain alcohol as a quick drying agent. Specifically, look out for SD alcohol, denatured alcohol, or isopropyl alcohol high on the list of ingredients.
-
Always moisturize your scalp at least once every day.
-
Remove dead skin cells by using an exfoliating cleanser to keep your scalp looking great.
If you have questions before, during, or after a scalp micropigmentation session, we are here to help. Please do not hesitate to contact us at anytime.
